Just Works has guided our organization through numerous, significant phases of organizational development including an intentional executive transition. Through it all, they have been profoundly intuitive, precise, liberation-oriented, and deeply committed to the wholeness and well-being of the whole organization.
They have built trust within a multigenerational, multicultural team through transparent processes, skill, and grace. In their own approach to modeling power-sharing across identities, they are constantly teaching us what is possible when we move with intention and in alignment with our values. As an Executive Director, their support to me and to the organization is invaluable.

Approach
We support our clients to more fully inhabit their purposes and align their work more deeply with their values and aspirations.
When things get in the way of organizational effectiveness, we work with clients to identify the blockages using a variety of tools to help create clarity and health.
We infuse our work with a deep commitment to racial justice. Our approach includes acknowledging and repairing past harm, embracing organizational and personal healing, and supporting our clients as leaders and changemakers.
Most commonly, our organizational effectiveness work brings new tools, processes, awareness, and commitment to address problems such as:
- Lack of shared clarity about the organization’s Guiding Ideas (mission, vision, values)
- Unclear goals and roles
- Lack of capacity to understand and address systemic oppression and racism
- Leadership challenges
- Ineffective patterns of communication
We partner with our clients to design and facilitate processes that create clarity, strengthen leadership, address injustice and bias, and engage in deeper communication and authentic relationships.

Where Does It Hurt? Health and Disharmony in Organizational Ecosystems
Organizational development consultant Ora Grodsky draws on decades of working with social change organizations and years of experience as an acupuncturist to develop a framework for understanding organizations as living ecosystems within which the flow of energy can promote healthy operations or provoke disharmony. This provides a powerful metaphor for diagnosing and addressing organizational challenges, as well as creating and maintaining organizational health.
This short e-book is designed as a hands-on practical guide for organizational leaders, social entrepreneurs and consultants.
